This review is from: The Fortuitous Pen [Sequel to Going the Distance] (Siren Publishing Classic) (Kindle Edition)
Ms. Addison brings us the Sequel to going the Distance, note it stands very well on it’s own. (I did not read the first one). And was enthralled by this one. Austin Campbell and Brett Tanner met in the first installment and this is the story of them adjusting to life together. It’s is wonderfully funny, steam filled romp. It’s not just about the sex (although it was delightful, and my husband appreciated the inspiration).

Austin has given up her day job and moved to New York City, and write erotic novels. Brett, encourages this and is proud of her work. The characters are real and I found myself wishing they were my friends. It’s not all hearts and flowers but the nice thing about this one is that the problems are not in their relationship it is outside forces that they have to adjust to as they learn to be a couple.

Austin and Brett grow and become more enjoyable every step of the book, they learn to deal with family, friends and coworkers. Cara writes very strong characters and you want the HEA for them. If you like a wonderfully told romance, with believable people that have an extraordinarily healthy sex life. Hit the button this one is all of that and a piece of cake! I will be adding Cara Addison to my favorite authors!

Filled with surprising humour, this erotic romp about a couple struggling to come to terms with family has sexy scenes and great dialogue.

Austin and Brett are familiar, comfortable characters that the reader will fall instantly in love with. They are a couple very much in love too – plenty of fun, monogamous sex to be had here, with the storyline refreshingly revolving around difficulties external to their relationship, not in it.

This book has it all – exotic travel, engaging storyline, believable characterisations; Addison has subtly built a distinct world capable of pulling you in with before you even know it. It was a pleasure to grow with the characters as they matured and developed (while still enjoying a very healthy sex life). Anyone that loves romance with a bit of extra spice will enjoy this read – especially the happy ending.

It is worth noting that this book is a sequel, but you don’t need to have read the first to enjoy it.

Hot, Steamy Erotic Romance….

Not only a good read for women…. But you Men out there would love this book! If you like erotic romance, you will love this book. I’m not usually interested in reading this much erotic, but it has a great story combined with the hot sex throughout the entire book. Austin and Brett are a couple meant for each other. The story tells of their relationship as it grows including the bad with the good. The author keeps you attention through the entire story. This couple is definitely hot between the sheets. I really wish I would have read Going The Distance first, since that’s the beginning of Brett and Austin’s relationship. I am definitely going to read it anyway. Thanks for the great read Cara Addison.

Austin is basically everything that I want to be. I can relate to her in more ways than one. I too am an erotic romance author, and I hope to one day be on the New York Times Bestsellers list. I have sold quite a few copies of my novels, but I am not on her level yet. I’m also not as confident as she is when people ask about the explicit scenes in my novels.[Spoiler Alert]  Her relationship with Brett is admirable, although I thought for sure she was going to take it further than a kiss with Sebastian in Paris. I loved how the story unfolded of their relationship, leading up to the wedding and then them finding out that she was pregnant.

This novel was well written and moved at an exceptional pace for my taste. I feel like I need to go back and read the first installment.
Cara, you did an amazing job and through this novel, I have gotten back into writing my eighth novel and brainstorming more.
